Taylor Swift's New Goal Is To Change The Music Industry For Writers -- Singer Talks Re-Recording Her Albums And Doubles Down On Not Being Able To Buy Her Masters

Taylor Swift has gone public with her battle against Scooter Braun and Scott Borchetta in hopes of regaining control of her masters. Since it seems o be a losing game, the artist is planning to re-record her original songs but hopes that her journey will change the music industry for writers.
After urging fans to go after the new Big Machine owners before her huge Billboard Awards performance, Taylor is the magazine’s Woman of the Year and recently sat down with them to talk about her new goal.
If you aren’t aware of what’s going on, Swift’s discography belongs to her old label who is under new management and she is unable to profit on the songs that she wrote for over ten years.
‘We need to think about how we handle master recordings because this isn’t it. When I stood up and talked about this, I saw a lot of fans saying, “Wait, the creators of this work do not own their work, ever?” I spent 10 years of my life trying rigorously to purchase my masters outright and was then denied that opportunity, and I just don’t want that to happen to another artist if I can help it. I want to at least raise my hand and say, “This is something that an artist should be able to earn back over the course of their deal — not as a renegotiation ploy — and something that artists should maybe have the first right of refusal to buy.” God, I would have paid so much for them! Anything to own my work that was an actual sale option, but it wasn’t given to me.’
The Lover singer opens up about how often she gets asked to have one of her songs in a movie or ad but she declines because she only wants it to happen if she owns it.
Like R&B singer Jojo, Taylor is planning on re-recording her old music so she has ownership of them and can distribute it in any way she wants.
As far as when she’ll start — she isn’t sure yet.
‘I don’t know! But it’s going to be fun, because it’ll feel like regaining a freedom and taking back what’s mine. When I created [these songs], I didn’t know what they would grow up to be. Going back in and knowing that it meant something to people is actually a really beautiful way to celebrate what the fans have done for my music.’
The country-pop star also has a Netflix documentary slated to premiere at Sundance early next year.

The Master Chief Collection On PC Already Has Formidable Mods In Development

Halo: The Master Chief Collection has been released on Steam for a week as of today; the exploits of Noble Team have been relived again and again in the first title of the series, Halo: Reach.  PvP has been explored, secrets found, and the vast majority of gamers have renewed their interest in bring Warthogs where the developers didn’t want us to. The Master Chief Collection On PC Already Has Formidable Mods In Development.
All in all, it’s been a blast.
Following 343 Industries surprisingly successful launch of a much-hyped title that topped Steam’s ‘Top-Selling’ list for almost a week straight (during their Autumn sale, no less), fans have already been asking when our next dose of Halo is; the first dose of the enigmatic hero that dominates the series moving forward, with Master Chief himself.
As the flighting of Halo: Combat Evolved isn’t set until after the holidays, which means time for all of us to sit on our hands, some enterprising modders of the community have set forth surprisingly ambitious plans to bring Halo: Reach into a more modern FPS era.
A mod called Reach Combat Evolved has lofty ambitions, stating that, for many of us, Halo: Reach was part of our childhood, and we’ve arguably explored almost everything the game has to offer.  Granted, it’s an absolute joy to explore once again, once again grinding out the Legendary playthroughs, the LASO campaign, and playlists to grind out credits to earn some sweet armor effects.
Thus, modder Kreah Leiser aims to freshen the experience in more ways than one.  Worth noting that this is currently in progress; development never occurs overnight, as much as we wish it did.
The United Nations Space Command is a keystone in the Halo Universe; from Noble Team to Master Chief himself, and all of the cannon-fodder in between, UNSC is the driving force against the Covenant (and any other alien species that may or may not show their faces soon).  Reach Combat Evolved’s first objective is to rework the entirety of the UNSC forces.
This goes for both the behavior and the textures.  The behavior overhaul focuses on the weaponry, vehicles, and NPC optimization; vehicles will handle differently, weapons will shoot fewer pebbles and more stones, and your NPC compatriots will be less likely to run to the other side of the room and stare at a wall for two minutes while you’re suck-starting a Covenant rifle.
Lest you celebrate too early, the Covenant are receiving much of the same love.
The campaign missions themselves will also receive an overhaul, although the developer is currently not offering much additional information in regards to what a campaign mission overhaul includes, or even smells like.
Finally, the mod also includes gameplay design alterations; the ability to dual-wield weapons as you tear apart Reach, the first-person camera for vehicle and assassinations, iron sight functionality and new abilities added entirely.

While it’s unfortunately not already out, Reach Combat Evolved is something very much worth keeping your fingers on the pulse of.

Some Cover Art Has Come In Signaling The Confirmation Of Resident Evil 3 Remake

Capcom has done an amazing job with their Resident Evil titles as of late. It all started with Resident Evil 7, which was unique in that it featured a first-person perspective and VR technology. Capcom followed it up with the remake of Resident Evil 2, which according to many in the industry, is Capcom’s best Resident Evil game yet.
The remake improved upon the original in every major way, from the graphics to gameplay. It’s honestly one of the best survival-horror games you could play to date. The success has lead many to wonder about a remake of Resident Evil 3. The prospect of going toe to toe with Project Nemesis with enhanced graphics and much better combat mechanics is a winning recipe.
A couple of weeks ago, the popular gaming YouTuber Spawn Wave confirmed that the remake of the third installment was in the works. Now, some cover art has been revealed that seems to reiterate these rumors. The cover art shows Jill, Carlos, and Project Nemesis. Some Cover Art Has Come In Signaling The Confirmation Of Resident Evil 3 Remake.
It comes as no surprise that their character models are much different than those featured in the original. Project Nemesis, in particular, looks much different. He still has a towering design, but he seems to be even more zombified and menacing. The cover art is great to see if you’ve hoped for signs of movement with this game.
Now that the cat’s out of the bag so the speak, fans should expect an official announcement from Capcom here pretty soon. It would be great to see a teaser trailer and perhaps even snippets of gameplay. The Resident Evil franchise is in full swing, even today after so many years since the first game released. It’s a testament to Capcom knowing the intellectual property well and continuing to improve keys aspects.
The remake of Resident Evil 3 could be the best installment to date. It would make sense that Capcom uses the same formula that showed up in Resident Evil 2 (Remake). It’s a near perfect survival-horror game featuring difficult enemy AI and challenging resource management.
Let’s just hope the developer gives you plenty of firepower to take on Project Nemesis. He’s one of the strongest antagonists featured in the games and movies, and it will probably take a herculean effort to come out victorious. It’s all so exciting for Resident Evil fans. We could be in store for another great story yet again. Stay tuned for an official announcement from Capcom soon.

'Teen Mom': Is Jenelle Evans Back with Her Ex After David Eason Split?

Jenelle Evans is a single lady for the first time in a long time. But it looks like that might be changing soon. After a tumultuous year in which Evans lost custody of her children, she has decided to turn over a new leaf. And this side of the leaf doesn’t include her husband David Eason.
But now that Evans has left her husband, is she rekindling things with someone from her past? Jenelle Evans Back To Teen Mom 2 After David Eason Split!

Trouble in Jenelle Evans and David Eason’s relationship

Evans and Eason lost custody of Evans’ children after Eason was accused of shooting the family dog in front of them. Eason eventually admitted to the act.
“It was a situation where my daughter, her health, her safety was in danger,” Eason told PeopleTV’s People Now.
“This was something that nobody wants to ever have to do. The dog was aggressive,” he continued. “Yes, she might not be huge or whatever, but you know when a dog bites a child on the face more than one time, then it should never be around the child again. If you give the dog up for adoption, one day it’s going to be around children again.”
He ultimately killed the dog because it was a cheaper option than calling the authorities.
“If you call the authorities at that point, the law says the dog has to be euthanized. I’m not going to pay anyone to euthanize my dog when I could do it myself.”
“I mean, I loved that dog,” Eason said. “I still think about her every day. It’s really hard for me. A lot of people put me down for it, they hate me for it, but like I said it was not something I wanted to do.”

Jenelle decides to leave David

Even after getting the children back, things still weren’t the same between Eason and Evans. Eason had cost her a lot over the course of their relationship, including her spot on Teen Mom 2.
Recently, Evans decided that enough was enough.
“I’ve mostly kept off social media the past few days because I’ve been focused on making some big life decisions,” the reality star wrote on Instagram. “I’ve lived my life on camera since I was 17 years old. And a lot of it hasn’t been pretty. But it’s been my life.”
“I know I need to make changes. I’m starting that now,” she continued. “The kids and I have moved away from David. Nobody gets into a marriage expecting it to end but I know that’s what is best for me, and for my kids. Today I’ve filed papers to start that process.”

Is Jenelle Evans getting close to an ex?

Since her marriage ended, Evans’ ex-fiance Nathan Griffith has been very supportive of her.
I am so appreciative to finally have a healthy relationship with @PBandJenelley_1,” Griffith tweeted. “Something we should have had 3-4 years ago. Especially one, that everyone, is supportive of.”
He did, however, thank his girlfriend Ashley Lenhardt for being supportive of him and Evans’ relationship, so it looks like the exes’ bond might be more platonic than romantic right now.
